Top: Render, Bot: Albedo/Diffuse channel. I made a total of 3 different rocks for this scene; made the base in Maya, sculpted all the details in Zbrush and did the final textures and baked the normals in Substance Painter.

Made everything from scratch in Maya and Zbrush - except for the plants. This was a project done in school (at Future Games), we are making a modular environment and I wanted to experiement with a lot of things; but mostly lighting and perspective and realism (but also maintaining a "fantasy"-ish feeling). Learned a ton. Still have a week left on this project and I will spend it on making the gameplay more fun and intuitive :)
